Selection and Dosage of Basalt Fiber for Cement Concrete Different varieties, lengths, and dosages of basalt fiber should be selected according to cement concrete's different parts and usage requirements. Based on experimental and empirical data: For Crack Resistance and Durability: Fiber Length: The chopped basalt fiber length should be close to the concrete's maximum aggregate size (15mm to 30mm). Benefits: Improves crack resistance, impermeability, erosion resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, and corrosion resistance. Recommended Dosage: 2 to 4 kg/m³. For Structural Strength: Fiber Diameter and Length: Basalt fibers with diameters of 9μm to 17μm and lengths of 3mm to 24mm are used to replace steel and polyester fibers. Benefits: Enhances shear strength, split tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and impact resistance. Recommended Dosage: 2.5 to 8 kg/m³.
