Professor Wu Zhishen, a specially appointed expert in the "Thousand Talents Program" and Special Assistant to the President of Southeast University, was elected as the president. Wang Yuping, Secretary-General of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, and others participated in the meeting. Eight executive director units, including Jiangsu Tianlong Basalt Continuous Fiber High-Tech Co., Ltd., were also elected at the meeting. The Secretariat of the Branch is located within the Basalt Fiber Production and Application Technology National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center in Nanjing.
Zhao Xiangdong, Vice President of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, delivered a congratulatory speech at the meeting. The meeting reviewed and passed the "Working Regulations of the Basalt Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association" and its "Implementation Rules," among other documents.
Establishing the Basalt Fiber Branch signifies that China's basalt fiber industry is moving towards organized, orderly, and healthy development. It is expected to play an essential role in promoting this development.
